Lifted

Through the practice of Polaroid Emulsion Lifts, I am manipulating and layering several emulsions to create larger cohesive images. Themes of growth and change are carried throughout. Using various models, subjects, and imagery, each piece represents a different episode of this concept.

I am also furthering the role text plays in my work here. It can be seen in various states of size, amount, and legibility.

This series is just as much about introspection as it is expression. When I started it, I was reflecting on various aspects of my past and current life, the stark contrast between then and now, as well as the connected gradations between.
